Gemelli-digitali

Event Details

Digital Twin, namely, digital simulation models which change as the real-time counterpart changes: production plants, infrastructure, public spaces and cities. Digital Twins powered by the vast amount of data gathered in real time thanks to digital transformation.
A transformation which is changing not only the world of factories, but also the design and management of complex settlements such as public spaces and cities and which will make it possible, in the very near future, to monitor natural systems through high-precision simulations: the sea, lands, coasts and the atmosphere.
The conference will present Digital Twins in different contexts: from manufacturing to public spaces and the great Destination Earth (DestinE) project, the European initiative which will create a digital model of planet Earth in order to monitor and simulate both natural events and human activities and whose main objective will be to contribute to sustainable development by providing support to European environmental policies.
